Guidelines for Formatting
NiWARD Conference Paper Manuscript
General:
All
manuscripts for submission for NiWARD conference should be formatted in Microsoft
Word. The pages should be numbered consecutively on the top right-hand corner,
beginning with the title page. Use: 1.5 spacing, font 12 Times New Roman, Fit
text on A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) page, with 2.54 cm margins top and bottom, and 3.0
cm margins left and 2.54 cm right. Maximum of 19 pages. Section headings: Capitalized Each Word, use font
size 12 and bold, left aligned. Sub-section headings: Capitalized only first
letter, use font size 12 and bold, left aligned. Bolden all section and sub-section headings. Manuscripts
in general should be organized in the following order:

Page:
Title:
Left-aligned in font 14 Times New Roman and bold. Author’s name: Left-aligned
in font 11 Times New Roman. If more than one author, use * to denote
corresponding author. The author’s last name should be followed by her/his first
name and initials. Author’s affiliation: Left-aligned in font 11 Times New
Roman. If more than one author from different affiliations, use letters
superscripted after the author’s name to number them. Please state the email
address of the corresponding author.

Abstract:
(250 words) followed by 4-7 keywords. Font 11 Times New Roman

Introduction:

Materials
and Methods
·
Results
·
Discussion:
the last paragraph of the discussion should represent the conclusions and
recommendations of the work (if any)

Acknowledgements
·
References:
References should come at the end of the paper and it should be single spaced.
Use the standard Harvard Reference Style. Examples:

Figures

All figures should be
cited in the text.
·
Each figure should be
consecutively numbered (Fig. 1,2,3 etc) with a left justified caption below the
figure, and the font used in caption is font 10 and bold.
·
Figures should be
included in the text, but please do not include the caption as part of the
graphic. The maximum length and width are 240 mm (not including the caption)
and 170 mm, respectively for a full page.
·
Digital copies of photos
should be supplied as high resolution and save as JPG.
Tables
·
All tables should be
cited in the text.
·
Each table should be
consecutively numbered (Table 1, 2, 3, etc) with a left justified caption above
the table, and the font used in caption is font 11 and bold Times New Roman.
·
All letters and numbers
in the table are in font 11 Times New Roman.
Equations
·
Equations should be
numbered consecutively and flush left, enclosing the numbers in parentheses (x)
and flush right. Please do not use automatic numbering.
·
All measurements must be
in SI or SI-derived units.

Title
section: Title should be informative. The
author’s last name should be followed by her/his first name and initials. Use
*to denote the presenting speaker
(or bolden the name), and include passport sized photograph. If more
than one author from different affiliations, use letters superscripted after
the author’s name to number them. Please state the email address of the
corresponding author.
Abstract:
The text of the abstracts should be prepared as Microsoft Word and should not
exceed 250 words. The abstract should comprise of three well thought out
paragraphs that clearly present the following information to a broad audience.
i.
Statement of the problems
or hypothesis.
ii.
Presentation of the key
findings (the main points), making explicit how they address the problem or
hypothesis.
iii.
Statement of the overall
significance of the findings, future research and/or development activities if
any.
Poster Body: This section may have all or
some of the following sub-sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results
and Discussion

Keep it short
References:
References should follow the standard
Harvard Reference Style. See other details of this section on ‘Format for
